The Healing Lens: Framing Life Beyond Trauma

Embracing Life's Complexity and Finding Sunshine: My Birthday Reflections

This year marks the start of an exciting new adventure: the launch of my podcast, Finding Mom’s Killer, on March 3rd.

It’s a story deeply rooted in my past, recounting the investigation into my mother’s murder and how I navigated those turbulent times as a child. Collaborating with Sony on this project has been nothing short of cathartic, as I uncover layers of my past that have been both challenging and necessary to confront.

If you’re passionate about true crime, resilience, and the pursuit of justice, I can’t wait to share this journey with you.

💭 Family, Forgiveness, and Finding Peace

Recent events have resurfaced old family dynamics, reminding me just how complicated these relationships can be.

The passing of my uncle, Charles Joseph Boyle III, stirred emotions I wasn’t quite prepared for. Our relationship was distant and strained, a product of longstanding family tensions. And yet, through his passing, I was reminded that forgiveness and closure are deeply personal journeys—ones we choose to pursue, even when resolution feels impossible.

🛠️ Lessons from the Past

Revisiting these chapters of my life—including reconnecting with my father—has highlighted the intricate web that family weaves.

Love, betrayal, silence, and misunderstanding often coexist in these bonds. But through it all, I’ve learned that violence and loss don’t just leave immediate scars—they ripple through generations, quietly shaping who we become and how we relate to one another.

These moments, however painful, have taught me resilience and reinforced the importance of healing from our shared histories.

🌱 Reconnection and Renewal

In an unexpected twist, this journey has led to renewed connections with family members I thought were lost to time.

Shared stories, laughter, and the rebuilding of trust have been unexpected gifts—reminders that even after the hardest goodbyes, there’s still room for new hellos.

These moments are the silver linings, and they give me hope that while some chapters may close, new ones—filled with possibility—are waiting to be written.

☀️ Choosing Sunshine

As I continue to move through life, I remain optimistic, always searching for the sunshine behind the clouds.

This past year has taught me to focus on what truly matters: the power of resilience, the gift of understanding, and the beauty that exists within life’s most complicated moments.

Every relationship, every decision, and every step I’ve taken has been stitched into the fabric of who I am today.

🙏 Thank You, Mover Nation

Thank you for walking this path with me and for your ongoing support. I’m grateful for each of you and excited to share what’s next.

So here’s to another year—navigating life with grace, humor, and an unwavering belief that we can transform even our most harrowing stories into hopeful, healing narratives.

Until next time, Mover Nation… keep looking on the bright side.

With gratitude,
Collier Landry
